Quick Create Recipe: Start from an Inventory Item

The Problem

You want to create a recipe that's based on a specific ingredient. Starting from the Recipes page means searching for and adding that ingredient manually. There should be a faster way.

The Solution

Create recipes directly from the inventory item page. The item is automatically added as the first ingredient, and the recipe title is pre-filled. Just add any other ingredients and you're done.

How to Use It

1. Navigate to Kitchen → Inventory
2. Open the inventory item you want to build a recipe around
3. Scroll to the Recipes section
4. Click Create Recipe
5. The item is pre-added - set the quantity and add any other ingredients
6. Fill in price, category, and tax settings
7. Click Save

Pro Tip

This is especially handy for creating variations - open your "Ground Beef" item and quickly create "Beef Burger", "Meatballs", and "Beef Tacos" without re-searching for the ingredient each time.
