Fix a Packaged Product's Lot Number Anytime
One powerful feature at a time.
Fix a Packaged Product's Lot Number Anytime
The Problem
You packaged a batch and typed the wrong lot number, or your lot format changed after the fact. Until now, a lot number on a packaged product was effectively locked in, which meant awkward workarounds to correct a simple typo.
The Solution
We loosened the rules. You can now edit the lot number on any packaged product straight from your product inventory. The change also carries back to the batch packaging record it came from, so your batch and your stock always agree.
How to Use It
- Go to Brewery → Products.
- Find the packaged product and open the row menu (the three dots).
- Choose Edit Lot Number. You can also open the product and click Edit Lot Number from its page.
- Confirm the product and container shown, then enter the new Lot Number.
- Click Update.

Pro Tip
A lot number can't be left blank, and you'll need inventory edit access to see the option. If you also use a lot template, see how to set your standard format so fewer corrections are needed.
